From Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, you can easily reach Flumet, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Crest-Voland, Megève, and Les Saisies. In winter, the slopes of the Espace Diamant ski area offer a vast playground for skiing and mountain activities.

AT SAINT NICOLAS LA CHAPELLE
Chalet L'Eau Vive is located in this small mountain village at an altitude of 960 meters, whose heart beats around its Savoyard Baroque church, its town hall/school, its café-grocery store Le Savoy, and… L'Eau Vive. Like many other villages in the area, Saint Nicolas la Chapelle thrives year-round thanks to a dynamic agricultural and pastoral sector centered around the Reblochon and Beaufort AOC cheeses.
Ideally situated between the Aravis and Beaufortain mountain ranges, the area around L'Eau Vive and Saint Nicolas la Chapelle is typically mountainous and alpine, composed of vast coniferous forests, immense alpine pastures with their old traditional chalets, and imposing peaks (Mont Charvin, L'Etale, La Grande Balme, L'Aiguille Croche, La Pointe de Mandallaz, etc.). Several iconic Tour de France climbs nearby complete the picture: the Col des Aravis, the Col des Saisies, the Montée de Bisanne, and the Col de Cormet de Roselend.
